An agent based model of influenza outbreak in a simplified environment including homes and works. There are a number of families, each living in a house. Each person travels to work and returns home every day, unless he/she has symptoms of the disease. The infection is passed with a certain probability during contacts, which occur both between colleagues at work and between family members at home. We consider Susceptible, Exposed, Infectious, Symptoms, and Immune states. Having discovered Symptoms, the person stays at home until full recovery. You can explore how infection probability and contact rate affect the influenza dynamics.
