Problems when running models in Firefox, Internet Explorer, and Safari

The models may not run in the browsers where they normally would work. In this case, you should do the following:

    1. Make sure you are using Internet Explorer 11, Firefox, or Safari browsers. The models will not run in Chrome, Opera, or Edge.

    2. Make sure you are using the latest version of your browser.

    3. Make sure you are using the latest version of Java.

    4. In case you use the latest versions, but the models still do not run, you should clear your Java cache.

Warning! After clearing Java cache you will have to re-install your other Java-applets or plugins, in case you have any.

To clear your Java cache, you should access the Java Control Panel. On Windows, go to your Windows Control Panel, and choose Java. On Mac, click on Apple icon on upper left of screen, go to System Preferences, and click on the Java icon. In the Java Control Panel, click on "Settings" under Temporary Inernet Files.

After this, click "Delete Files", select all three checkboxes, and press OK.

    5. Clear your browser's cache by following instructions on developers' websites: Internet Explorer 11, Firefox, Safari. Restart your browser.

    6. Run the model, and follow the instructions on the screen to enable the Java plugin for RunTheModel.com.
