There are two alternative products A and B manufactured by different (and competing) companies, each having its own supply chain. Consumers initially are not using any products but are sensitive to advertizing and to word of mouth. Both products discard after a while and generate the need to buy a replacement of the same brand. The product switch can occur if the product of the preferred brand is not available due to the supply chain problems. The consumer market is modeled using agent based method. The supply chains are modeled with system dynamics. The output of the model includes the market shares for A and B and the demand.
