SIR In Discrete Space2

If you plot on a grid all or almost all attacks and origin of attacks and surrounding assets on a grid, then targets or emerging threats to US assets will make themselves visible. It might not be possible to prevent all attacks but you can minimize attacks or danger to surrounding asset sites by fortifying surrounding sites from origin. The sities in this example are static sities but mobile sites can also be posted ie convoys. The simulation can be done manually or by computer. The grid represents US sites. The red box is an infected site. The red boxes is the propogation of the disease or attack from the origin. The boxes touched by the red box is or are the sites at risk by an attack and which need to be fortified.
The following program below is a program by anylogic that models the spread of disease from 3 origins. It can be used to simulate attacks by insurgents on US sites. The program can be expand to 100 by 100 or 10,000 sites to accomodate more targets in a region. It demonstrates the spread of disease among all 100 agents (100 cells). White cell it is a
susceptible agent, red cell - infected agent, green cell - recovered agent. So
please run the model and choose what 3 agents (cells) will be infected at
model startup. Then press "Run simulation" and you will the spread of disease
that depends on what agents were infected initially.
To transalte, the three infected sites are insurgents attack origins, from there the red boxes or cells spread to neighboring cells, these cells that are neighboring are the cells that should be fortified or protected. It is a simple model but when extrapolate to a larger scale it can be used to monitor and select which US assets need to be protected after an attack.

The model was created with AnyLogic - simulation software / Assymetrical Warfare Target Detection using SIR Healthcare Based Model
