Sand loading and transport

3 modeling paradigms: DE, SD and ABM. Trucks loading with sand is modeled using SD (or rather DS here) + ABM, while whole logic is captured with DE.
Used exit and enter ports to mimic passing entity/agent between paradigms, as well as embedding agent within entity to track each other.
Total rate of sand loading for all stations is given. Based on the number of stations currently being filled the rate of loading at each station changes accordingly allowing for more accurate and efficient solution as compared to situation where only DE was used, while if only SD was used you could not track stochastic aspects related to entities. One can monitor average time of filling the trucks at each station and total time of trucks at each station. One can change interval rate of trucks. Many different statistics, and functionality can be added for this model.

The model was created with AnyLogic - simulation software / Combination of physical and technical phenomena
