TriageThis model is a simple simulation of the triage process at the emergency room of the Jewish General Hospital (Montreal), where the input are the patients arriving with a variable hourly rate during the day, passing through the sub-processes: Pre-triage, Triage and Registration. The theoretical cycle time of the process is 11 minutes, however due to the processing time variability and the nurse's shifts in the second activity (triage), there are some emerging queues along the day producing a higher average cycle time.
