This is a simulation of the Lac Megantic Train Disaster that happened
at 1:15 AM on July 6, 2013 in the town of Lac Megantic in Quebec, Canada.
In this disaster an unattended 73-car train carrying crude oil ran away and derailed.
It caused huge fire and multiple explosions. Forty-seven people are confirmed dead
and more than 30 buildings in the town's centre were destroyed.
